The Blue Band is an auditioned Concert Band at Elkhart High School, Freshman Division.
 
How does a student get involved in Blue Band?
Students earn a spot in the Blue Band through a competitive audition process. The prerequisite is 8th Grade Band.
 
When does the Blue Band practice?
The Blue Band rehearses during the school day.
 
Does the Blue Band perform for the community?
The Blue Band performs five times throughout the year, including the Band Festival, Winter Concert, ISSMA Preview Concert, ISSMA Festival, and the Spring Concert.
 
Does the Blue Band compete in music competitions?
No. The Blue Band performs annually at the ISSMA High School Organization Festival, which is a non-competitive event.
